Saturday 18 March,10.30am-1pm

Cost: £25 full / £23 concession per day

Use the process of collage combined with mark making to explore the landscape and ‘draw with scissors.’ You will make colour the focus, try colour-mixing exercises to find your palette and paint up papers to use in collage, playing with different textures and combinations to create movement and a sense of low relief and explore other artists who use collage in a painterly way. For source material bring along some organic found objects that interest you from a favourite walk in the landscape, (e.g., leaves, feathers, shells, twigs). You will need a sketchbook to make more studies and a good bundle of loose A4 cartridge paper for making painted papers for collage. Bring some acrylic paint (your choice of colours but primaries red, blue and yellow and white and black for mixing is a good start, some different size brushes. Pencils, charcoal , crayons and coloured pencils and other drawing materials you enjoy. Scissors and a Pritt stick for collage.

Please wear a shirt or an apron, that you won’t mind getting marked with paint.
