Grab your picnic essentials and bring the whole family for an afternoon of fun and relaxation. Please note no seating is provided so please feel free to bring chairs, blankets etc.

About North Coast Trad

Sorcha Meehan (Fiddle), Martin Meehan (Flute), and Steve Iveson (Guitar) have been performing together regularly for the past five years, bringing a dynamic and richly textured sound to the Irish traditional music scene. As recording artists all have toured globally, their music is deeply rooted in the Northern style, characterised by driving rhythm, expressive ornamentation, and a powerful sense of tradition. With an extensive repertoire and a wealth of experience, they showcase a deep knowledge of the tradition while bringing their own unique energy and creativity to every performance. Sorcha is also an accomplished composer and has published a book Ceol Sídroma, a collection of original compositions.

Martin has toured internationally, appearing on radio and television, and collaborated with artists such as Liam Ó Maonlaí and Arty McGlynn. Steve, known for his innovative guitar playing, blends traditional accompaniment with jazz and contemporary influences, creating a distinctive and dynamic sound. His contributions to Areas of High Traffic, a BBC Folk Album of the Year nominee, and collaborations with artists like Kate Rusby and Damien O’Kane have established him as one of the most exciting guitarists on the trad scene today. The flute, fiddle and guitar blend as one, with seamless transitions and the unspoken bond between the musicians is palpable.

Their music evokes a deep connection to tradition, landscape, and culture, taking the listener to another realm and creating an unforgettable musical experience.
