Projects

Benjamin Gould (Commedia of Errors) - Our Dementia

Our Dementia: Changing Perspectives VR programme creates deeply personal, virtual reality experiences based on real stories from local people in the early stages of dementia. By placing the viewer at the heart of these lived experiences, our VR films help carers—both professional and family members—gain a greater understanding of what it feels like to navigate the world with dementia.

Corinna Askin - Dreamers Space

The CISF project uses low entry, easy access technology- WebAR to allow school children to interact with the worlds and characters I created, allowing them to design and upload characters of their own to interact with the digital spaces. The themes relate to inspiration and wellbeing and involve characters that encourage positive mental health.

Deepa Mann Kler - The Metaverse and Me

The Metaverse & Me augmented reality features ten artworks that combine cutting-edge digital animation with a stunning soundtrack. Each painting contains a virtual show that remains hidden until viewed through a mobile phone.

Angela Halliday - Digital Arts Studios | XR LAB

XR Lab is aimed at artists and creatives who wish to learn, explore, and develop their creative practice using XR technologies regardless of their background or level of experience. Through Research and Development, our XR Lab helps artists to experiment and advance their practice whilst gaining skills and confidence in working within the innovative field of XR. The XR Lab is an opportunity to enhance understanding of immersive digital technologies and modes of production.

Grainne Taylor - Can Technology Compete with Tradition?

A fashion exhibition showcasing real life garments beside their digital counterparts.

Dafydd Hall Williams - Ulster Touring Opera | Carbon Women

Carbon Women is a prototype for a new mixed reality opera. This new version of the myth of Andromeda and Cassiopeia by Northern Irish composer Áine Mallon looks at the agency (or lack of it) that these women have. The opera is presented on a Quest 3 headset, and lasts for 5 minutes.
