EXHIBITIONS

First The Ignore You by Sheila Chakravarti will be on display in our gallery until the 20th of April, and we encourage you to visit this thought-provoking exhibition curated by Belfast Exposed. Our next Exhibition will be the Artists Drawn Together collective Spring Into Summer exhibition. Artists Drawn Together is an eclectic group from across the country, united by a love of art through fun and friendship and led by renowned artist, Janice Lightowler. The diverse collective is of all ages and includes experienced artists and emerging talent. Each artist is taught in their style, subject and medium, including watercolour, oil on canvas, pastel and mixed media.

CREATIVE WORKSHOPS

If you’re keen to try something new, improve your creative skills or explore a hobby there are tonnes to choose from including firm Flowerfield favourites like ceramics with Fiona Shannon, fused glass with Natasha Duddyand EJ McCartney and painting courses with local artists Sarah Carrington, Heather Byrne and Elaine Harkness.

We welcome the return of the popular Mums Meet and Make series at Flowerfield. This unique series, which offers budget-friendly creative workshops for mums on maternity leave with babies under 1, has drawn visitors from across the borough and beyond and due to demand will also be hosted at Roe Valley Arts Centre from April to June.

Both Arts centres will mark Dementia Awareness Week (May 13-19 May) with a creative workshop for those living with dementia and a loved one. This workshop will provide a safe and nurturing space to come together to relax, have fun and create meaningful moments.

You can pick up a copy of the April – June Arts Guide from both arts centres, and across the borough.

A digital copy is also available to download now to your smartphone or tablet.
