Causeway Craft Trail coming this March!

8th February 2022

Throughout the month of March, we will be showcasing unique makers located across our stunning Causeway Coast and Glens borough.

Developed in partnership with our tourism colleagues and generously funded by Tourism NI, twelve participating individual makers/collectives will host a series of taster creative workshops in a range of craft disciplines including pottery, glass, jewellery, textiles, willow weaving and more as well as take part in our Causeway Craft Trail Open Studio Weekend from 19-21 March.

The subsidised workshops are aimed to give complete beginners a sense of craft and making and will be available to book from 18 February. Trying out new creative skills and meeting new people as well as the makers inspired by our sea and land, you'll be encouraged to 'embrace a giant spirit'! Places will be booked on a first come, first served basis and numbers are restricted due to individual studio spaces and covid safety.

The Open Studio Weekend is designed to encourage you to travel along our beautiful coastline and landscape to discover our makers' studios where you'll get a warm welcome and they'll chat about developing their craft and some will also demonstrate what they do. Studios will be open at publicized designated times from Saturday 19 to Monday 21 March.

We hope this pilot project will develop annually to become a celebration of all things creative!
