9th June 2021
Close to Home, a new exhibition by artist Maurice Orr opens on Wednesday 16 June from 10am.
The exhibition is a new body of work by the acclaimed Northern Irish artist exploring landscape which inspired internationally renowned poet and Nobel Laureate Seamus Heaney.
This series of paintings and prints transport the viewer to the bogs, shorelines, fields and islands of Bellaghy and Louth Neagh, environments which nurtured Heaney’s sense of place and belonging so vividly captured in his many poems.
Close to Home is open until Saturday 24 July, 1pm. We are open Wednesday and Thursday, 10am-4pm, Friday 10am-3pm and Saturday 10am-1pm.
