Flowerfield Arts Centre is proud to present ‘The Way I See It’, an inspiring new exhibition running from 8th March to 26th April, developed in collaboration with Causeway & Mid Ulster Women’s Aid.
Opening on International Women’s Day, this compelling exhibition which will be on display in Flowerfield’s Upper Gallery and is free to enter entry. It will showcase 26 unique photographic perspectives of life, captured by 26 equally unique women.
Participants were invited to use their mobile phones to capture a single image that reflects their personal viewpoint. Some chose to edit their photographs, while others submitted them untouched. Each image offers a deeply personal insight into life as seen through the eyes of these women.
This exhibition not only highlights the power of visual storytelling but also serves as a celebration of creativity, resilience, and individual expression. Kate Harrison Coates, Head of Service Causeway & Mid Ulster Women’s Aid said: ‘International Women’s Day is celebrated globally on 8th March every year and is dedicated to the advancement of women and the promotion of equality for women everywhere.
“We are privileged to have so many women contribute to this exhibition and share their visual experiences and creativity with us.”
The official exhibition launch will take place on International Women’s Day, Saturday 8th March at 12pm, where speakers from Causeway & Mid Ulster Women’s Aid will be joined by renowned poet and writer Anne McMaster and poet Kendra Reynolds.
