Fun With Drums Special

What better way to let off some steam and fun than fun with drums! This session is designed for kids with additional needs and their family members to join on making some noise! Book in for an hour of noise, tunes, freestyle percussion, and top fun. They’ll have a blast with our expert facilitator James, who gets everyone involved and has lots of experience facilitating for kids with additional needs. We are promoting this via The Mae Murray Foundation but you don't have to be a member to join in the fun.

RED SAILS IN THE SUNSET DROP-IN KIDS WORKSHOP for 4-11 years

Young artists will craft their very own summer sunset scenes inspired by Jimmy Kennedy’s sublime song Red Sails in the Sunset.Parents must accompany children at all times during this workshop.
MOVING FORWARD WORKSHOPS FOR 8-12 YRS

With ECHO ECHO DANCE THEATRE COMPANY & PETEC (Romania)
These workshops are led by visiting artists from Romania and Moldova - Alexandra Soshnikova, Sergei Golovnea, Virginia Negru and Catalin Diaconu and are part of an international dance project. Two afternoons of playful creative workshops and a rare opportunity for children to dance with internationally experienced professionals, performers and teachers. The workshop will include warm-up exercises, learning some moves and plenty of interactive, freestyle, improvisation. No experience necessary, just interest and an enthusiasm for moving. Great for kids for who love to dance, with experience or complete beginners.

GLASS MAKING FOR KIDS | FUSED GLASS BUNTING - SOLD OUT
Thurs 1 August | 10.30am–12.30pm | 8-12 yrs Cost: £25
A brilliant opportunity for kids to experiment with glass making. Working with experienced glass artist Natasha Duddy, each participant will design their piece, select colour, cut and assemble glass to produce five triangles for their handing bunting. hooks will be attached in the kiln firing process. Pieces can be collected at a later date, once fired. This is the perfect gift for any child to make for their room or as a birthday gift for a friend or family member. Please note, closed toe footwear must be worn for your own safety.

CLAY SUMMER SCHEME | FOREST, FLOWERS & FAUNA FOR 8-12 YRS

Let your child’s imagination bloom and feel the clay in their hands at our Children’s Clay Summer Scheme, inspired by enchanting themes of forest, flowers and fauna. During the week we will be making a range of pots from wacky planter heads to mystical castles and creatures found in forests near. The perfect summer workshop!
These workshops use air-drying clay, which will not be fired.
SWEET SUMMER WONDERS | 5 - 7 YRS

Two days of sweet summer wonders art workshops for budding creatives! The theme is all things sweet, so they’ll be creating a sweety menu of giant lollipops, magical ice cream sundaes, colourful sticks of rock and swirly candy cane that look good enough to eat in all the summer colours you can think of with Linda Mulholland.

THROWING TEAPOTS FOR TEENS for 12 – 16 years - SOLD OUT

Let’s spill the tea! We are excited to bring you a brand-new workshop for teens. In this hands-on session young artists will learn the craft of throwing teapots on the wheel from scratch. They will then get to sculpt the spout, handles and decorate their teapots as well as making teacups to match their teapot. A three day, afternoon course for young throwers.

A brilliant workshop and rare opportunity for kids to experiment with glass making creating two unique designs of hot air balloon hanging suncatchers. Children are encouraged to be as creative as possible with their colour scheme and designs. They will design and produce two hanging suncatchers, with hooks attached in the kiln firing process. This is the perfect gift for any child to make for their room or as a birthday gift for a friend or family. Finished work can be collected at a later date when fired.
